You Are Amazing! You’ve Done It!
First, and most importantly, ICC wants to offer our heartfelt thanks to all of you who supported our matching grant campaign. With your help we’ve gathered the full $200,000 we were challenged to raise! Your contributions will now be matched by the group who’s original proposition created this opportunity.

So many special folks joined in the effort to meet this challenge. ICC feels truly blessed by your generosity. The $200,000 you donated, along with the matching funds, will total $400,000.

These gifts will become part of Alcyon’s Angel Fund, the ‘lifeboat’ for ICC’s project budgets. When donations are not sufficient to meet the need, we will have this reserve fund to bridge the shortfall.

Without you, the ministry that is ICC would not be possible. It is your invaluable aid that provides the core structure for ICC’s endeavor on behalf of “His Kids.” Thank you so much for your help and dedicated, selfless efforts in saving lives.

The Amazing Grace of Hope, BC.
Recently, Kent Greve; ICC’s international development director, spent time promoting ICC’s mission at the British Columbia Conference campmeeting held in Hope, BC. Following is a brief report from Kent of one very special experience he had at Hope.

“Camp Hope is a beautiful setting for a campmeeting! And what a aptly named place for me to able to share our ‘mission of hope’ for orphan children. It was a wonderful experience meeting current sponsors, some of whom have been long-time supporters. It's also been rewarding sharing this ministry with kindred persons who have not heard about it before.

“In an upcoming personal message I plan to share more about a women I’ll call ‘Grace.’ You see her in the picture standing next me in front of our display booth. Grace has been a faithful sponsor for many years. I look forward to sharing more about my conversation with Grace in the near future!

“I want to personally thank the administration of the BC Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for allowing me to promote our ministry at campmeeting this year.”

Look for Kent’s personal message featuring Grace to appear in a future edition of the Que Pasa.

ICC Made The Cover?!
Due to fortuitous, yet unusual, circumstances ICC’s recurring informational advert appears on the back cover of the August 2014 issue of the NPUC “Gleaner.” Thanks to the “Gleaner’s” staff for allowing ICC this privileged opportunity.

Using regional magazine ads, ICC is telling the story of our ministry to a greater number of people. The current vehicle for this outreach is the “Gleaner,” the monthly news magazine published by the North Pacific Union Conference of the SDA Church. The “Gleaner” covers the northwest region of the U.S.

If you do not receive the “Gleaner” but would like to see the full-size version of the current ad, use the following link. You’ll find the ad on the back cover.

We truly appreciate your support of “His Kids.” Each ad includes a special web address where you can make online donations that will help ICC provide homes and families for even more children. Use the following link to make a donation today!

What’s In This Month’s Qué Pasa?
In the August 2014 Qué Pasa Kent Greve tells the stories of four ICC alumni and how education has benefited their lives. Following is an excerpt:

“Going to school is something that most families and children take for granted. However, for orphan children in poor countries like the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and India, going to school is a special privilege that they treasure—if they’re given the opportunity…”

You can read all of Kent’s personal message and much more in the August 2014 Qué Pasa!

ICC Logo None of this work would be possible without those who have committed their efforts to saving and changing the lives of “His Kids.” The children of ICC want to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for making a difference in their lives.

Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.”
