Joel And The Amazing Donor
Children never cease to surprise us. Even after more than thirty-five years in a children’s ministry we are often humbled and moved by the truly selfless actions of our children and young people.

Joel Reyes, our public relations director, had just such an experience while manning ICC’s booth at the Alberta, Canada camp meeting. Read Joel’s heart-warming, first-hand account of his story by clicking on the following link. You won't be disappointed.

“I ♥ You”
Sponsorship is so much more than a simple exchange of funds in support of a child. To believe so is to fail to understand how your heart and soul will be changed and enriched through the inclusion of an ICC child in your life and family.

The best evidence for this comes from the stories told by our sponsors of the very special changes in their own lives brought about by their interaction with the child or children they sponsor.

News From ICAP
We have news from the ICAP boarding school. Dr. Alejandro D’Oleo, ICC’s director of education and the supervisor of ICAP, has sent us a letter giving details of some recent events at ICAP.

Dr. D’Oleo sends news of academic achievement and sadly, of tragedy. ICAP is a boarding academy operated by ICC and is located adjacent to Los Pinos, our ICC Guatemala children’s village. Follow the link to read Dr. D’Oleo’s letter.

What’s In The Next Qué Pasa?
We recently received a letter from Gabriela Costache, our administrator emeritus in Romania. Gabriela tells us about Andrei and Elena and several stories of their experiences at our children’s village in Romania. Following is an excerpt:

“After their natural parents were arrested, Andrei and Elena’s grandmother cared for them for a while. After a period of time their grandmother asked the authorities to care for them … At that time, Elena was two years old and Andrei was three-and-a-half.”

You can read Gabi’s story about Andrei and Elena’s and much more in the September 2013 Qué Pasa. Look for it to be in your mailbox soon!

How would you like to get a digital copy of the September 2013 Qué Pasa? One that you can read on your computer, tablet or smart phone? Click on the following link and you’ll be able read the Qué Pasa in PDF form. Enjoy!

Sponsors Tell Us Your Stories
We have a recurring feature which is now running in both the Informateur and the Qué Pasa. We are telling stories from our sponsors about how, through ICC, their lives have been personally affected by making one or more of “His Kids” part of their family.

We truly would love to hear your story! Please tell us about your experience as a sponsor. Send an email or letter to Doug Congleton, ICC’s executive director, relating your personal journey while sponsoring an ICC child.

Please send your story to Doug >

ICC Logo None of this work would be possible without those who have committed their efforts to saving and changing the lives of “His Kids.” The children of ICC want to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for making a difference in their lives.

Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.”
