Putting Sol To Work At El Oasis
Our El Oasis campus has now become a green enterprise. The solar array donated by Trina Solar has been installed and is providing power to the campus electrical grid.

This array will help to defray the costs of electrical service as well as the usage of electricity on our El Oasis campus. The array generates power to a reverse-running electrical meter which in turn supplies the local electrical grid. El Oasis then receives credit from the local utility company for the electricity generated.

We are very grateful to Trina Solar for the donation and installation of the solar panels.

What’s In The Next Qué Pasa?
Just over five years ago Pastor Ken Fleck, Alcyon’s husband and co-founder with Alcyon of ICC, passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. Alcyon wrote of her feelings in the Qué Pasa as part of a tribute to her husband of sixty-six years. Following is an excerpt:

“I am sitting here in my office, wondering how to say what I have to say. It is news that I had hoped I wouldn’t have to write. My house is quiet, too quiet. The room that Ken was using during his last days of life is empty. The finality of his death still seems like a bad dream.”

ICC’s Online Gift Catalog Is Now Open!
ICC now has an online Gift Catalog from which you may directly support your favorite ICC project! Your purchase in July may be from you or as a gift on behalf of a friend.

This online gift catalog is a simple and wonderful way to provide much-needed items for our ICC families. Please take the time to peruse our catalog and support our kids!

Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.”
