A Good Reason For Our Tardiness These are the daily facts of life in the eastern DR Congo. Conditions there personify instability. The lives of millions of people have been reduced to a worthless commodity. Death, fear and starvation are constant companions. No one living in the Kivu provinces dares hope for anything beyond the current moment. We here at the Informateur realize that we have written a number of stories about the DR Congo in the past several months. But something significant has happened at our DR Congo project within in the past few weeks and even days which we believe you must know. These events explain our tardiness delivering this issue. Joel Reyes, ICC’s public relations director has written about these recent events. Read Joel’s story to learn what has happened. |

$5,000 Matching Fund Available Children are dying every day in the DR Congo. Every week we receive stories from our staff in the DR Congo about how children are dying without hope. We have been given the opportunity to actually save the lives of a number of children. These children otherwise face a desperate future and near-certain death. Please help us to be a savior to these children. Donate today. |

What’s In The Next Qué Pasa? “As for the city of Goma, abandoned by all humanitarians, the population was confined to the fear of being caught by the bullets. My house has received some [damage from bullets], but thanks to God because those bullets did not hit anyone. All our agents living in Goma were also miraculously protected during this difficult period, and we believe that is a great miracle given the gravity of the situation [of those] that lived in the city…” You can read Kent’s article and much more in the March 2013 Qué Pasa. Look for it to be in your mailbox soon! How would you like to get a digital copy of the March 2013 Qué Pasa? One that you can read on your computer, tablet or smart phone? None of this work would be possible without those who have committed their efforts to saving and changing the lives of “His Kids.” The children of ICC want to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for making a difference in their lives.
Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.” |
