Current Status
We are now registered with the government and are planning an inauguration in the next few months.
The agriculture program is well underway with fruit trees that have been planted. The government has just donated some seeds for gardens. A new pump has been installed in the well.
We are excited about the cooperation from the community with the program. The mayor of the village and the municipal doctor have come to visit and are very happy with what we are doing. The doctor has volunteered his services for our children. The neighbors are also supportive of our program.
They have started an Adventist Youth group for the children and involved the other students at the nearby boarding school. At Christmas the children put on a program for a few of the churches in the area and also sang for the mayor at the City Hall.
Recently the second classroom of the school has been completed.
Future Plans
We are working on developing market gardens and industries as well as finishing the school and getting play equipment for the children. The staff housing for the teachers, social worker and administrators is another project we hope to get done soon.
