Last year, Adonis, one of the older boys at Las Palmas suffered a broken neck in a diving accident. This has left him a quadriplegic.

As you would expect, this tragedy has altered this young man’s life. He has struggled to recover and accept the limitation of his new life.

Most recently, Adonis has suffered from ulcers on his body developed from so much time in bed without moving.

Rick and Sharon Fleck visited Adonis several times during their recent trip to the Las Palmas children’s village. They have consulted with local doctors and a wound specialist from the US.

Adonis has been given a new course of treatment and we are thankful that he is experiencing some improvement. He is in less pain, and healing is starting to take place. He has better movement of his arms and this has encouraged him.
