| Joel Reyes Leaving ICC After much prayer and consideration, Joel accepted. Joel's degree is in education and he was serving as principal of the SDA school in Scappose, Oregon, just prior to joining ICC. Upon joining ICC, Joel was first the administrator of the El Salvador project and then our director of public relations. It is with the mixed feelings of both excitement for Joel’s new opportunity and sadness at his departure that we want to afford Joel our heartfelt best wishes for his tenure at Livingstone. We know he’ll be as much a blessing to the students of Livingstone as he has been to the children of ICC. We will truly miss Joel’s unequaled passion for ICC’s kids. No better advocate could be had for not only the children of ICC, but for all those orphaned and abandoned children who still need a home and family. Thank you, Joel, for everything you’ve done for “His Kids!” Joel sent a letter to his coworkers here at ICC HQ after he had announced his departure and we would like to include here his thoughts as he anticipates the next chapter in his life. “Dear Team, “I will never be able to express in words my feelings of appreciation to each one of you, and I don’t think I will ever again work with a team like this one that functions like a real family. Thank you for making me part of your family. “I will be working somewhere else but the family will remain. I will always consider myself part of the ICC family, and shall continue to promote it and uphold its mission. “I pray that someday when our situation has changed and if we are still traversing this world, perhaps we will be brought back together. Thank you for being a family.” Joel Reyes |
