ICC’s children are rarely blessed with a matching grant. But when a matching grant is made we strive to take full advantage of the opportunity. With your invaluable help we are making great strides in reaching the funding goal of our current matching grant.

Meet Our Staff Members In Person!
Once again it’s that time of year when members of our amazing staff are sent on pilgrimages to tell the story of ICC. Over the next several months you will have the singular opportunity to have a face-to-face encounter with these incredible people.

First up is Joel Reyes, our public relations director. Joel will be at the Arizona Camp Meeting in Prescott, AZ, June 13 through June 21. You will be able to find Joel manning our booth.

In July, Joel will be at the Grandview Church in Armstrong, BC, Canada, on the 5th and then at the Alberta camp meeting. More details next month!

We’re Blanketed By Your Generosity!
Over the years we’ve been blessed by the loving generosity of many dedicated supporters who contribute hand-made baby blankets. In fact, many of those who’ve given us these wonderful, soft blankets created them especially for ICC’s children.

As ICC’s children have grown older however, very few babies have been added to our families so we’ve had less need of these lovely baby blankets. Consequently the baby blankets have been stockpiling in our warehouse.

Conversely, as the children have grown, we have now found ourselves in need of light-weight blankets and quilts that will cover a single bed.

Soon we will be sending a container to our project Las Palmas in the Dominican Republic. This project is one that is most in need of light-weight blankets and quilts.

We are asking then that should you choose to contribute bedding materials for this next container that you please send light-weight quilts and blankets that will fit a single bed.

Our current ad is again in the “Gleaner,” the monthly news magazine published by the North Pacific Union Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist church. The “Gleaner” covers the northwest region of the United States.

What’s In This Month’s Qué Pasa?
In the June 2014 Qué Pasa Kent Greve relates his experiences from his recent visit to our project in Romania. Following is an excerpt:

“These children remind me that the process of restoration from an abandoned toddler to a responsible teenager is subtle. It’s slow and steady. At many steps along the way there are challenges… This is the reason why your continued support of these children is so very critical. It’s unthinkable to abandon them again…”

Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.”
