ICC Loses A Treasured Friend
ICC has lost a dedicated friend and ardent supporter. Alice Schultz passed away February 20, 2014, due to complications from pneumonia and a recent fall. Alice was 91 years-old.

Alice was a long-time member of ICC’s board of directors as well as a sponsor for the majority of her tenure here at ICC. We know that Alice’s dedication and service to ICC will continue to inspire all of “His Kids” as well as those of you who support them.

We here at ICC are profoundly saddened that Alice has passed away. All of ICC’s staff around the world wish to offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the members of Alice’s family.

Pathfindering Makes a Big Difference
The joy and sense of accomplishment that comes from working together to achieve a goal is just one of the many positive, character-building experiences the children gain while participating in Pathfinders.

The culmination of the children’s efforts in their local Pathfinder clubs is the time spent each year at the Pathfinder Camporee. Attending the camporee is a much-anticipated event for the individual clubs.

One of the hurdles in attending the annual camporee is that it is an extra-budget expense for our projects. And you can help with that.

Oft Delayed Container Sent To DR Congo
It seemed almost surreal to see the big blue shipping container as it was towed into the parking lot/loading zone here at ICC HQ. After many months of frustrations and complications it was a relief to have it arrive even though the next few days would mean the hard manual labor of loading it by hand.

Read the story of the Congo container >

Just prior to closing the doors of the container, Rick Fleck and Doug Congleton filmed a short thank you video for all those who supported ICC in shipping this container. You can see their video by using the first link from the following list. Also, if you’d like to see us loading the container, click on the second link from the following list.

What’s In This Month’s Qué Pasa?
In the March 2014 Qué Pasa Rick Fleck has a personal message about how your support of ICC has effected one life in particular. Following is an excerpt:

“Teresa came to the Fuente de Vida children’s village in Nicaragua with her sister and brother when she was nine years old. Her alcoholic father mistreated her and her siblings. He never seemed to care at all. When Teresa’s mother died of cancer the children seemed completely abandoned…”

You can read Rick’s message and much more in the March 2014 Qué Pasa!

How would you like to get a digital copy of the March 2014 Qué Pasa? One that you can read on your computer, tablet or smart phone? Click on the following link and you’ll be able read the Qué Pasa in PDF form. Enjoy!

ICC Logo None of this work would be possible without those who have committed their efforts to saving and changing the lives of “His Kids.” The children of ICC want to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for making a difference in their lives.

Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.”
