We Need Money To Feed The Kids What this means is that because of reduced funding the administrators at our projects must make difficult choices and adjustments that at times even effect their food budgets. We would deeply appreciate your taking a few moments to read this letter from our executive director, Doug Congleton, so you may understand just how important are your continued donations to the children. |

ICC Children Reunite In Guatemala Recently Anabela Alejos, our director in Guatemala, organized a reunion of several of our kids who had grown and moved on to their adult lives. At this event were ten of ICC’s children who had been through our program at Los Pinos. One of ICC’s eldest children, Dina Gallardo Colocho, attended. She now has three children of her own, two of whom are in university and one who is in high school. These people are a living testament to your support of ICC. Without you their lives would have undoubtedly been very different and it’s entirely possible some would never have lived long enough to see adulthood or start their own families. Thanks for being the difference that changed their lives! |

Canadian Shipment Arrives In Congo This shipment was filled primarily with equipment and supplies for medical work and the nearby university whose computer lab will benefit from twenty laptops that were included. We are pleased by the news of the safe transport of PROLASA’s container and are eager to send off our own shipment to the ICC children’s village in the DR Congo within the next couple of weeks. |

What’s In The Next Qué Pasa? “All the children who come to ICC supported children’s villages have experienced devastating losses. Some of them have managed to survive alone in the streets, suffering abuse, starvation, and cold before coming to the children’s village. Many of them have never met their parents, or known a family until they came to us.…” You can read Joel’s letter and much more in the February 2014 Qué Pasa! How would you like to get a digital copy of the February 2014 Qué Pasa? One that you can read on your computer, tablet or smart phone? None of this work would be possible without those who have committed their efforts to saving and changing the lives of “His Kids.” The children of ICC want to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for making a difference in their lives.
Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.” |
