Potato Harvest Gathered In Romania
Not all donations to the children of ICC come as monetary contributions. From the Netherlands our ICC Romania project received seed potatoes. The families planted the agricultural endowment on the project’s farm and the results of the harvest will provide food till the next planting season. Read the full story on our blog.

ICC Featured In November 2013 Gleaner
ICC will be the featured article/cover story in the November issue of “The Gleaner,” the official news magazine of the North Pacific Union Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist church.

Steve Vistaunet, the editor of “The Gleaner,” interviewed Doug Congleton, executive director for ICC, and Joel Reyes, public relations director for ICC, about how our ministry has been caring for orphaned children for over 35 years.

Look for The Gleaner to arrive in your mailbox later this month or, should you not receive “The Gleaner,” you will be able to read the story online at GleanerOnline.org.

Window Of Opportunity Fast Closing!
Twenty percent, fully one-fifth, of our total annual funding comes to ICC during the month of December. In fact, better than thirty percent of our annual funds are donated between November first and the end of the year on December thirty-first.

We are bringing these facts to your attention so that you may understand how vital is your support during these final months of the year. We are asking that you our supporters—whether you’re new or a supporter of many years—prayerfully consider your year-end giving plans as concerns the children of ICC.

Without you and your continuing advocacy we cannot keep on providing the loving, Christian homes upon which our children rely. And as you now understand these next few months are critical to the support of ICC and “His Kids.”

Please prayerfully consider what you are able to, and can do, to secure the future of our children.

What’s In The Next Qué Pasa?
In the November 2013 Qué Pasa Kent Greve tells the story of one young man and how his life was changed after becoming part of our ICC Congo family. Following is an excerpt:

“…Earlier this year we shared the plight of dozens of children who had been newly orphaned as a result of the M23 Rebel uprising in the DR Congo… [t]his situation underscores just how difficult and fragile life is in the DR Congo. It also demonstrates how remarkable it is when children from this war-torn country can rise above tragedy… and become successful.”

You can read Kent’s letter and much more in the November 2013 Qué Pasa. Look for it to arrive in your mailbox soon!

Sponsors Tell Us Your Stories
We have a recurring feature which is now running in both the Informateur and the Qué Pasa. We are telling stories from our sponsors about how, through ICC, their lives have been personally affected by making one or more of “His Kids” part of their family.

We truly would love to hear your story! Please tell us about your experience as a sponsor. Send an email or letter to Doug Congleton, ICC’s executive director, relating your personal journey while sponsoring an ICC child.

Please send your story to Doug >

ICC Logo None of this work would be possible without those who have committed their efforts to saving and changing the lives of “His Kids.” The children of ICC want to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for making a difference in their lives.

Occasionally when we call for funds for a specific need we receive more in donations than we requested. In those instances when we have received more money than we solicited, those funds will be placed in “Alcyon’s Angel Fund.”
