We have just received word from the administration in Congo that the container is safely on its way today to Goma as Sunday, December 10. The container arrived without problem into Mombasa, Kenya, on November 20th, and then waited for the strife to cease in the Goma area before being sent out.
We are told that this type of ground transport takes approximately 10 days to arrive at it’s destination in that area. This means that the children of The Patmos Children’s Village will be enjoying an extra special Christmas this year, a Christmas provided by all of the caring people in the ICC family.
What a blessing it would be to be present at the opening of the container! What so many of you have done for these precious children will be remembered by each one of them for many years to come. You have truly shown what “the Christ” in Christmas is all about.
I know that the children of Congo would want each one of you to know how much you mean in their lives, and they want to thank you for all that you have done to change their young lives. They all wish you the happiest and most blessed of Christmas seasons. |
