Dr. Dick Anderson, a long time supporter of ICC, recently stopped by the office. He has the idea to start a Dental Clinic Fund in order to build a dental clinic at one (or more) of the ICC projects. He was talking about his dream to a friend, Gary Jackson, and Gary pulled out a $100 bill and said, “Let’s get this started right now!” So Dick added his own $100 bill and headed to ICC to start the fund. He envisions having a well-equipped dental clinic at one of our projects where volunteer dental professionals can go and spend a week doing dental work and also seeing some of the interesting tourist attractions.
A Dental Clinic Fund has now been set up in order to accumulate the funds needed for this project. Dr. Anderson is also going to prepare a list of items needed, and he hopes to gather used dental equipment to send on a container to an ICC project.
Dr. Anderson visited Guatemala in June of this year, especially to attend the wedding of one of our ICC kids, Elvi. Here is a picture of Dr. Anderson with the couple.
